Here's our most recent list of volunteer opportunities.
Byrd Barr Food Bank needs volunteers Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2-hour (or longer)shifts, 10 am to 3pm. For more information, contact Brian Yeager, firstname.lastname@example.org, 206-812-4961. You may also fill out an online form at: https://byrdbarrplace.org/get-involved/volunteer/
Byrd Barr Food Bank clients are asking for help with baby items, diapers, and formula. Donations may be made in person. For more information, please contact Leon Garnett at 206-812-4964.
Kandelia needs diapers and formula for delivery to Seattle World School Families. Diaper donations (all sizes, especially size 1-7) and/or formula donations (requests so far have been for Similac Advance) can be dropped off Monday-Friday between 11 am and 1 pm at the front of Seattle World School, 1700 E Union St.. Meany Middle School family needs clothing The Homer Harris Hub COVID-19 Support group partners with Seattle Public Schools Meany Middle School to deliver food and lunches to families of students. One of the families has requested help with clothing for their three kids. If you would like to contribute to a gift card for online purchase, please contact Karen Lewis: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Backpack Brigade needs volunteers to help pack meals on Tuesdays, 8:30 to 11 am. There are also two spots open for drivers on Thursdays, 9 or 10 am start time To sign up or for more information, please contact Nichelle Hilton: email@example.com; 206-495-8983.
